Description
Role
You will be working for a small consultancy working on planning/POC/migration of a Front Office trading platform to the Cloud. Current on-prem footprint is over 1500 cores - so will be a substantial project.
You will get the opportunity to learn the detailed technical workings of a world leading vendor trading platform - a highly sort after skill in the market place.
Skills
We do not expect you to have them all - but you should be keen to learn them all.
Cloud - Required
GCP - Compute Engine/Storage/VPC/Deployment manage/Filestore/Workflows/AppEngine
Soma AWS/Azure knowledge would also be useful
Technical
Redhat administration
SAP ASE Database
Programming
Python - simple Scripting, Django web apps
Bash - happy debugging and developing scripts
Groovy
Tools
Bamboo/Jenkins - experience of a CI/CD tool and understanding of what/why it is used
BitBucket/GitHub/Git - used git for source control
Confluance/JIRA - worked with Agile development tools
General
Worked on migration of on-prem system to GCP
Understanding of release processes and controls and flow from Dev -> SIT -> UAT -> Production
Appreciation of infrastructure as code
Calm and able to handle stressful/pressured situations
Keen to learn new skills.
Location
Work will be home based with regular (1-2 days a week) travel required to City of London - exact amount is negotiable based on circumstances. An initial introductory/training period will be office based.
