Interaction Designer (Contract) - Tech for Good - Remote - £550pd
Brio Digital are working with a leading Tech for Good company that deliver a wide range of major healthcare projects which benefit millions of UK citizens every year. They have an enviable record of delivering some of the biggest healthcare projects in the world and are renowned for being a great place to work. You'll work on platforms which help people, in an autonomous environment alongside some of the best health-tech professionals around.
What you will be doing:
- Working within a user-centred design team, collaborating with multidisciplinary agile teams including user researchers, developers, service designers and product owners.
- Champion approaches to enable users to interact with digital services, covering end-to-end user journeys, at the level of individual design elements.
- Taking ownership, working autonomously, prioritising and managing workflows.
- Supporting the product team and working with users and stakeholders to develop design concepts.
- Embedding good practice, ensuring design decisions are made based on research and evidence to improve products and services.
- Creating user interfaces, utilising interaction design skills to meet user needs in your designs.
- Providing design consulting and leadership in relevant areas
- Creating prototypes and concepts to explore potential solutions and meet requirements.
What you need to bring:
- Previous experience within the Healthcare sector is essential.
- Strategic thinking, ability to see the bigger picture.
- Ability to thrive under pressure within a fast-paced, team-orientated and agile environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- An inclusive, user-centred approach and a keen focus for user-centred design practices for both public-facing and internal applications and services.
- Coding experience and skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, wireframing and data visualisation.
Knowledge and appreciation of User Research. - Knowledge of GDS guidelines, accessibility standards and how to apply these.
