We are currently seeking a WindowsApplication System Administrator

Responsibilities

  • For the administration of the bank’s applications running on the Windows platform.
  • Application server administration,
  • Deploying of maintenance packs and vendor provided patches,
  • Investigation and troubleshooting of issues,
  • Providing support to application managers and developers.
  • Work individually or in a team on to provide Application Support for bank’s applications running on Windows platform.
  • Assess and identify appropriate changes and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Plan, prepare, test and apply maintenance fixes provided by the application vendors
  • Develop test plans for implementing new software or new releases of the software
  • Provide support for FTP/SFTP & Managed File Transfer interfaces
  • Provide support for all external file transfer interfaces
  • Assist application developers with program debugging and correction
  • Provide system support including off shift on call support as and when required.

This position will be a key member in Our Clients’ Application Development Team and will support critical applications for Europe and North America.

Experience/Proven Skills

  • 3+ years’ experience supporting and administering Windows environments
  • Must have experience installing and configuration of the application software
  • Must have experience in applying application patches and maintenance packs
  • Technical knowledge of designing, implementing and supporting file transfer and encryption solutions to and from Windows environments
  • Experience with Perl and Windows scripting
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with Performance Management and Troubleshooting
  • Experience with process monitoring and audits is plus
  • Experience with Work Load Scheduler is plus
  • Certification or Training in WebSphere MQ is plus     

Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Must have quality team building skills, positive attitude, detail oriented, self-motivated and strong project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously   
  • Occasional weekend and late night support for production support and migration
