Description
Experienced NHS Testing AnalystMy client is currently implementing a new Patient Administration System, and seeks an experienced testing analyst to develop and deliver system testing and UAT testing of the Trust's management information systems with the new PAS.
The Trust's management information systems are based on a Data Warehouse currently fed by the existing PAS. As part of the migration to the new PAS, the Data Warehouse must be revised to handle data from the new PAS. This will involve
- Developing new interfaces between the new PAS and the Data Warehouse
- Adapting Data Warehouse processes to handle the reference codes (e.g. Specialty Codes, Clinic Codes) in use by the new PAS, where these are different from those in use in the existing PAS.
The Testing Analyst responsibilities will include
- User liaison for test scripting for UAT
- Development team liaison for System Testing
- Leading on UAT and System Test
- Specification and production of all testing documentation and reports
- QA and design of testing delivery
- Delivery and testing of all data warehouse / management information work to the plan
The test analyst will work with a team of 4 development staff, and will report to the work stream lead managing the data warehouse work stream for the new PAS.
Applicants should have the following experience / capabilities:
- 3 years plus test analyst experience
- Experience of major systems integration projects in the NHS
- Familiarity with NHS data and management information issues
- Sufficient technical understanding of relational database systems to engage in critical dialogue with Trust development staff
The contract will be for 3 months initially, but may be extended.
