I am currently seeking an Information Analyst to work in the Midlands on an interim basis for an initial 6 month contract with a view to an extension.You will be required to do / have:
- Strong NHS Experience within analytics
- In-depth experience of Business Intelligence technology
- Broad experience of data storage strategies and of manipulation of large and complex data sets
- Track record of providing a pro-active, client-focused information service, with experience in a senior analytical role
- Very highly-developed data manipulation, statistical, interpretative and analytical skills with complex datasets
- Good understanding of, or ability to assimilate rapidly, the extensive range of data sets
- Proficient with IT packages including Excel, Word, SQL server and SQL
- Experience of working with NHS data sets including the Secondary Uses Service activity and finance data
- Knowledge of SQL server databases and ability to write SQL
- Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or equivalent software
- Appreciation of data protection, patient confidentiality and IT security issues
- Excellent organisational and presentation skills
- Has an advanced knowledge of principles of benchmarking
- Has expertise in modelling and forecasting techniques
- Is highly numerate with an extremely high standard of analytical and interpretative skills
- Support the development of performance measures, including contract targets and indicators e.g. QIPP, CQUINs (Clinical Quality Indicators), and Quality etc.
- Investigate and analyse complex data, choosing between a range of potentially conflicting options.
