Description

2 Roles - Software Developer and Integration engineer.

Slough - £35 - £37 per hour

Embedded Software, Linux, C, C++, 3G, 4G, LTE, UMTS, Wifi, Wi-Max, Slough, South Thames Valley

A well known company has increased its revenue and expanding the engineering team.

As a result there are a number of vacancys available:
Software developer

Key features

1. Software Design, Code, Test, Integration and Documentation
2. Development, construction and testing of Backhaul solutions for LTE small cells
3. Problems investigation and bug fixing

Experience With

1. Educated to Degree Level in Electronics Engineering/Computer Science related discipline
2. Good programming skills in Linux environment using C/C++ for Linux based target systems using Object Orientated Design methodology and tools (UML).
3. Experience in embedded software development for 3/4G wireless systems: LTE, WiMAX, UMTS, WiFi.
4. Development of Real Time Embedded Linux Systems on low cost SBCs and SoC based platforms (e.g. TI 6614 ARM+DSP or similar).
5. Production of well documented designs information preferably using OOD using UML.
6. Minimum 5 years of work experience is acceptable

Software Integration Engineer:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Development, construction and testing of wireless backhaul solutions for LTE small cells
2. Software Design, Code, Test, Integration and Documentation
3. Problem investigation and bug fixing
4. Level 3 support and production test software support

Key skills required are:

1. Educated to Degree Level in Electronics Engineering/Computer Science related discipline
2. Good programming skills in Linux environment using C/C++, bash scripts, python, perl etc.
3. Practical working knowledge of networking - Layer 2 and Layer , 802.1, IPv4 and IPv6
4. Experienced in development of Real Time Embedded Linux Systems on low cost SBCs and SoC based platforms (e.g. TI ARM+DSP).
5. Practical knowledge of configuring and testing of WiFi and LTE systems. Experience with WiMAX systems will be a bonus.
6. Very good verbal and written communication skills.
7. Minimum 5 years of work experience is acceptable.
