Proteus Europe are currently looking for a Web Application Architect/Designer to work as a contractor for our client in Belgium.Job description:
- Architecture and design of information systems.
- Review of the architecture of existing systems
- Design and development of component architecture and building blocks
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems
- Participation in technical working groups
- Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting
Knowledge and skills
- In depth knowledge of applications design
- Good knowledge of business process analysis
- Knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus)
- Good redaction skills.
- Ability to give technical presentations.
- Ability to apply high quality standards
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in Application architecture and design
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills.
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability and experience in working in team.
Education and experience
- Minimum 15 years of studies and experience after the secondary school
- Minimum 9 years of IT professional experience
- Minimum 6 years' experience in web design and development of web applications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in architecture and design of information systems with Content management Systems/Frameworks
- Experience in Search Engine and performance optimization
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience in Responsive Interface and Progressive Enhancement
Specific expertise
- Minimum 6 years in architecture, design and development of web applications with Content Management Systems and Web 2.0
- Minimum 6 years in (X)HTML(5) and CSS(3)
- Minimum 3 years in web design
- Minimum 2 years in Drupal
- Expertise in Client side scripting (jQuery, Javascript )
- Expertise in Browser/Devices compatibility
- Understanding and applying SOA principles in designing loosely coupled systems based on interfaces; experience with Web Services
- Familiar with security issues for developing Web Applications (e.g. injection, Cross site scripting)
