Embedded, Real-time, Comms, Debugging, SystemsI am currently looking for an embedded software engineer to work for a key client of mine. I am looking for someone with strong embedded software experience in a real-time environment. You will also be involved in the architecture of the system.
Job Type: Contract
Location: Oxfordshire
Duration: 12 months
Rate: £35 - £45 p/h
You will be joining a world leading client on an exciting and innovative project. The company are in the initial stages of the project and therefore you will be involved in the full lifecycle development of the project.
Skills Needed:
- Embedded C programming for (8051, AVR, ARM, NIOS2 etc)
- Real-time operating systems (freeRTOS, eCos or similar)
- Comms protocols (Ethernet, Wifi, I2C, SPI, PCIe, UART etc)
- API design and selection of effective debug environments)
- Revision control software
- Systems architecture knowledge
Experience in the following would be advantageous:
- Image compression standards (H.264, MJPEG)
- CMOS image sensors and optics
- Embedded linux, linux drivers, U-boot
