Me and my clients are currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer for a long term contract to be based in Yorkshire.The Main purpose is to design a variety if infrastructure and rails projects.
You will be tasked with
- Undertake the duties of designer as highlighted in CDM legislation
- Act as lead engineer on projects as directed
- Prepare outline and detailed design of large multi-disciplinary projects
- Checking of detailed designs, reports and drawings
- Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff, and others
Key knowledge and skills you will require are
Good understanding of safety standards and CDM requirements
Awareness of contract conditions and the importance of contracts in Project delivery
Good commercial awareness including programming and delivery to budgets/timescales
Ideally a Good civil engineering degree 2:2 or above (or equivalent)
Detailed knowledge of civil design principles and standards
Detailed knowledge of construction principles and standards
Be working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer
