SQL Analyst/Developer - Contract - Financial Services (SQL , T-SQL,SSIS, SSRS, ETL )A high level SQL Analyst/Developer who has experience with SQL , T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS and ETL design is required working on an exciting new project for a growing financial services client, who are bringing on a SQL analyst/developer to help grow and build an already established financial services business on a contract basis based in Birmingham. As the SQL analyst/developer you will be responsible for the design, coding and testing with specific focus on data migration and transformation. You will be doing a lot of work with SQL server databases and in particular SQL you will be using these technologies to migrate the platform along side the Senior SQL Analysts and collaborate to come up with solutions with any problems that you find. You will also be responsible for strict time management and be able to provide accurate estimates for the creation of database code and delivery of the projects. As the SQL analyst/developer will be required to take business requirements and translate them into technical specifications as well as heavily be involved in new coding.
As the SQL analyst/developer you will have at least 5 years experience within database analysis and programming. Experience working in financial services is highly desirable however not essential.
This is a 6 month rolling contract paying up to £250 per day.
Essential Skills/Experience;
- The high level candidate will require expert level Microsoft SQL Server development including SSIS and SSRS. To produce reports and be able to provide updates and feedback to senior managers.
- The candidate will be an expert in T-SQL coding, Stored Procedures and Functions.
- The main database the client will be using is SQL Server so the candidate will need to have hands on experience with these systems and have worked on them in a commercial environment.
- ETL design will be necessary and you will also need to be able to implement and development
- The client would find candidate that have experience with some of the following technologies highly desirable: JSON, XML, COGNOS,TABLEAU and BPM, however these are not essential for the role.
