We are urgently recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to join a leader in the aviation sector on a permanent basis in ManchesterResponsibilities
- Ensure that all designs are technically sound and follow good Object Oriented principles.
- Ensure that the company prescribed processes and standards are adhered to and contribute to their improvement with a view to increasing team efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership to the team for .NET technologies and provide mentoring and coaching to junior team members in quality software development, testing and deployment.
- Designing and developing solutions
- Designing, coding and unit testing web applications
- The capture of requirements, estimations, functional specifications, test approach and planning
- Delivery of solutions to company standards and time scales
- Involvement with regular release cycles
- Full development life cycle contribution
- Keep up to date with competitor products and latest technologies
Requirements
- Degree level qualification or equivalent in IT or Computer Science related subject
- Minimum of 5 years experience of developing Windows applications using Visual Studio in C#
- Experience of Microsoft SQL Server, including Management Studio and SQL Profiler
- Previous experience of code control processes and systems, such as TFS, SVN
- C# /.NET Framework (up to version 4.5)
- T-SQL
- XML / Web Services / WCF

- SOLID principles
