UX/UI Designer

Description

We are a small design team looking for a freelance UX/UI designer:

• You have 3-5 years experience as a UX/UI designer
• You are comfortable conducting research, usability studies, and user interviews (you’ll be on a team, so if you aren’t comfortable doing this solo quite yet, that’s okay)
• You have experience designing for digital products, marketing sites, and mobile apps
• You have excellent communication skills. We use video calls, chat, email, and project management software to communicate. Because the majority of our team members are remote, good communication is essential to our success
• You are able to take the lead on projects with minimal direction
• All of our projects need to work across platforms on all devices. You should be comfortable designing for all viewports.
• You should have an expert knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
• If you have prototyping skills using HTML/CSS, that's a huge plus, although you will not be expected to produce production-ready code

While you can work remotely, we prefer someone in the NYC metro area for occasional meetings. We work on complex design challenges for clients from brand new startups to large higher ed institutions. If you love a meaty design challenge, we'd love to work with you.
