My client based in Birmingham is currently seeking Oracle configurer to join there team in order to set up and make sufficient changes to the front end of the data warehouse management system looking in to movement paths and traffic data n order to make the warehouse function.£350 - £450
Daily Tasks:
* To build production, pre-production, test and development databases.
* Carry out general database administration tasks to support database implementations.
* Build and configure high availability Oracle solutions such as log shipping and clustering.
* Rapid response to production issues including identification through to resolve of the issue.
* Carry out additional support tasks on Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
* Familiar with Oracle warehouses
* Looking at the system as an end user
* Configuration change
* Looking in to management paths and traffic data
Essential Skills:
* Managing Oracle 10g/11g databases.
* Backup and Recovery techniques and using Oracle RMAN.
* Installation and use of High Availability and Disaster Recovery components; Oracle GRID Infrastructure/Clusterware, Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard.
* Installation and use of Oracle ASM.
* Database Load and Transformation Techniques.
* Understanding of the maintenance and support aspects of databases.
