My client, a leading, global bank is looking for a contractor to join their team for a long term project on a rolling 6 month contract.
Project Summary:
An exciting and high profile opportunity has arisen for an experienced SQL Developer to join an expanding EUC Development & Support Team within Finance Business Services (FBS).
Essential Skills:
* At least 10 years development experience against SQL Server on large databases with table partitioning etc.
* Able to run traces, identify bottlenecks, conflicts etc.
* Able to optimise queries, indexes, analyse data histograms etc.
* Full understanding of SQL Server DDL and DML.
* Experience loading and manipulating very large files and data sets (>1tb).
* Experience working with core banking/trading systems
