Role: Embedded Software EngineerLocation: Slough
Duration: 6 months - Will extend
I am seeking an embedded software engineer to develop a WPF application for integrated rugged video and radio products.
The company is a new and upcoming company that creates surveillance systems.
You will be able to work alone or as part of team and be comfortable working with customers and suppliers to support demonstrations and integration efforts.
Key Skills required:
* In depth knowledge of developing around the Microsoft .Net platform
* Interface design in Windows Forms and Windows Presentation Foundation (MVVM) Serial port communications o TCP/IP socket interfaces
* Basic understanding of Electronic hardware Desirable skills
* Microsoft DirectShow filter design/implementation
* GStreamer development on Windows and Android
* Video decoding, in particular FFMPEG
* Knowledge of KLV/TLV encoding
* Android Development, both ADK and NDK
* C/C++ knowledge on embedded platforms
* C#
* Experience in commercial development practices
* Version Control
* Unit Testing
* Source code documentation
