Oracle DBA - Production - Migration - Sheffield - £250-£275 per day - SheffieldReal Staffing are looking for an Oracle DBA to join a migration team to assist with the support and migration of legacy production environments, migrating from Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g. Migrating from physical hardware to a VM environment.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience administering Oracle databases in a production environment
- RAC
- GRID
- ASM
- RMAN
- Unix/Linux and Windows environments
- Extensive exposure to Oracle 10g and 11 g in a production environment.
- Database Tuning.
- Report writing.
Day to day duties:
- Liaising with other members of the migration team to ensure systems are table and effective once migrated over to Oracle 11g.
- Developing, managing and testing backup and disaster recovery strategies; Guaranteeing the ability to be able to recover production databases.
- Implementing performance improvements
- Performance tuning of the database
- Ensuring security, data integrity and maintaining a high level of system availability
This tole is based in South Yorkshire and is to start asap, ideal start date is Monday 13th April 2015. This is a 2 month Oracle DBA contract paying between £250 - £275 per day.
