Quant Library Build and Release manager / Top Tier Investment Bank / Contract / London / £550 - £650 per dayMy client, a top tier investment bank, is looking for quant library build and release manager to join their expanding team based in central London.
What will the role entail;
There are frequent releases involved with the development of the quant library and to ensure the quality of the releases is maintained, there's a large amount of automation involved such as continuous integration build systems, distributed unit testing, automated packaging, distributed regression testing and ad hoc report gathering. The role is responsible for maintaining/enhancing the automated systems the releases depend upon, and guiding releases through the processes to meet the library's release deadlines. This also requires enhancements to these automated systems and the automation of tasks that are currently handled manually. You will also be supporting the development environment used by the quant developers and providing technical assistance when needed.
My client is looking for the following skills and knowledge;
- Degree level in computer science, engineering, or quant subject.
- Proven experience in managing a continuous build and regression testing system for a large C++ library within a front office financial institution.
- Proven experience using scripting languages to manage Windows development environment, build and release process.
- Experience with build packaging, QA and release management processes.
Desirable:
- Experience with C++ code coverage tools, memory management and performance management tools.
- Experience building and supporting a distributed testing framework.
- Exposure to quant libraries, including pricing, risk and credit value adjustment calculations.
- Experience of development and testing in large-scale software projects.
- Experience of the Jenking continuous integration build system.
