Description
Support the design, development, testing, integration and deployment phases of all the designated content value added services
-
Define and review system design and architecture of components assigned to the content value added service (VAS) group. This includes:
-
Participation during requirements and design sessions insuring that component supports functional and technical requirements
-
Ensure that delivered system supports non-functional requirements related to performance, auditing and stability of system.

Maintain together with vendor up to date documentation related to component design, API interface spec and configuration/deployment guide
-
Develop and execute component test packs
Support integration phase of project providing support related to the content VAS components
Job demands:
-
Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunication/Electronic Engineering or IT
-
Understand business requirements and able to read Network designs, Business - and Solution
-
Two or more years of experience in a similar position.

Hands on and theoretical knowledge of networking technologies (HTTP, TCP/IP, FTP,..)
-
Hands on and theoretical knowledge of application integration technologies (XML, HTTP REST, JMS, SOAP)
-
Hands on knowledge and experience with Unix
-
Excellent English.

Willingness to travel
Desirable skills and experience
Certification in the following:

DTV - DVB, MPEG, HDTV

Network - CCNA (ICND 1 & 2)
-
IS - TRPIP, IPV4, IPV6
-
IP Architectures & functionalities -, eg QOS, Multicast, IGP (OSPF, IS-IS, RIP), MPLS
Good understanding of Video platforms and/or engineering experience with:

OSS/BSS concepts

Implementation of Head-end equipment
-
CPE's, STB Middleware, Conditional access systems
-
Monitoring (SNMP, probes)
-
Operations/support
System Integration
