Job Title: Reference Cost AccountantEmployer: NHS Acute Trust
Band Level: 8a
Location: West Midlands
Rate: £ per day
Contract: 3-6 months
An NHS Acute Trust in The West Midlands require a Reference Cost Accountant to provide support during a key period of the financial calendar.
As the Reference Cost Accountant, your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Reference Cost accounting process
- Patient Level Costing for the acute and community services
- Service Level Reporting on a monthly basis
- Supporting the costing function team
- Helping to deliver the Reference Costing submissions
- Using large databases (system and Excel-based) for data manipulation
- Qlikview reporting
- Ad-hoc assignments where required
Essential Skills:
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience operating within an NHS Acute Trust
- Comprehensive knowledge of PbR, SLR and PLIC policies
- Reference costing for acute services
- Strong system skills (Qlikview, Excel, costing systems)
Rate is negotiable and will be determined based on the quality and experience of the successful applicant.
