This is a CONTRACT engagement (C2C, W2).
The project is scheduled to start May 18, 2015 and run for 12 months. LOCA RALEIGH/DURHAM AREA CANDIDATES ONLY, PLEASEJOB DESCRIPTION: Our client is seeking a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Services Subject Matter Expert (SME) contractor for their Modernization Program, SOA Center project.The Services SME will work with a team of SMEs from other SOA disciplines to help create and author plans, policies, procedures, and governance for SOA within the Service discipline.
- They will develop and operationalize change management for the tools and technologies within the Services discipline.
- Develop and operationalize Release Management for Service Discipline assets within the SOA Center.
- Develop Service Level Agreement metrics and goals for the Service Discipline.
- The Services SME will participate in process flow analysis and SOA centric process redesign along with the project team discovering, validating, documenting and communicating the organizations services required for SOA project success.
- Identify issues and risks found in the mapping of existing and proposed services to SOA methodology
- Establish an Enterprise-wide SOA centric services implementation model.
- Provide operational SOA centric production procedures, plans, and training support.
- Create and Lead training sessions and classes for knowledge sharing.
- Help plan and coordinate UAT and performance testing.
- Communicate to SOA stakeholder any changes and upgrades.
- Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in concert with the SOA Project Team
- Assist in the creation of a training and transition program to transfer SOA centric services improvement knowledge to client staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of experience working in a mature SOA environment.
- 5 years of experience developing processes and procedures for enterprise change and release management.
- Experience implementing enterprise wides services for an organization.
- Experience tracking SOA service assets through the release cycle
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diversified workload
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting skills including ability to perform root cause analysis for preventative analysis
- Ability to define and maintain SOA centric infrastructure documentation according to all the defined environments
- High level of competence with MS Office, MS Visio, and MS Project
- Proven ability to produce documentation to a high standard
- Experience transitioning stove-pipe systems and architecture to SOA-centric architecture
- Competency in modelling, simulating and analysing the as-is and SOA centric to-be scenarios
