Outline Job profile:

An AIV (Assembly, Integration and Verification) Engineer is required for a high profile project to design, procure, deploy and verify the flight operations system for one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of satellite systems, based in Portsmouth. Considerable international travel will be required to the Ground Stations in Germany and Italy. Expenses for international travel are reimbursed in line with the companies subcontractor expense policy.

Key Responsibilities:
Software installation and configuration
Anomaly investigation
Development of test plans to verify requirements
Execution of verification campaigns including building test data sets
Linux and VMWare configuration
This candidate must have customer facing abilities, as the position entails technical exchanges and meetings with the European Space Agency (ESA) System Prime and Subcontractors.

Essential:
Software engineering, Strong linux and VMWare, instillation, installation and verification, Hardware specification, Formal approach to documentation, Pro-active problem-solving approach. Satellite flight operations infrastructure (eg SCOS-2000, MOIS, SIMSAT)

Desirable:
Experience of satellite mission planning and flight operation procedure development.

Previous Experience:
Essential: Experience of complex Hardware and software integration projects
Desirable: Experience of flight operations infrastructure.
