Web Portal Developer, Lead

This is a CONTRACT engagement (C2C, W2). The project is scheduled to start May 18 and run through March, 2016.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is in need of a contractor to assume the leadership role for the technical development, implementation, and support of a new Web portal and web content management aspects of the project.

The duties and responsibilities associated with this position will include the following:

• lead the technical development, implementation, and support for the ECIDS portal using the IBM WebSphere Portal and Web Content Management (WCM) tools;
• support and assist the development of the ECIDS user interface and overall creative design for the application;
• mobility support considerations;
• writing and testing program code;
• performing system implementation activities;
• technical support;
• developing system and end-user documentation where needed;
• instructing and training of other team members and end users on the use of the ECIDS application.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Qualified candidates must have pre-existing, hands-on, technical development work experience with the implementation of the IBM WebSphere Portal and IBM WCM tools for small to medium scale web sites/applications.

DESIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Must have hands-on, technical development work experience with the implementation of the IBM WebSphere Portal and IBM WCM tools for small to medium scale web sites/applications. Preferred: Agile, web user interface/creative design; mobility support for web applications;
