IIS/Middleware Technical Lead - Edingburgh - IIS, WWindows, Active Directory, Jboss, WebSphere
Square One are looking for an IIS Tech lead to come on board for a 3 month rolling contract based in Edinburgh.
Middleware Administration support for IIS
1. Install, Configure and troubleshoot Internet Information Server (IIS) on various platforms
2. Configuring websites/URLs on IIS Server
3. Deploying multiple applications on an IIS Server
4. Configuring and troubleshooting COM+ and ASP .NET framework applications
5. Virtual directory creation and configuration
6. Install and configure Application Server Plugins (WebSphere/JRun/JBoss, etc.)
7. Configuring and troubleshooting ISAPI filter
8. Configuring and troubleshooting Application Pool
9. Installing and Managing FTP
10. Set-up SSL certificates. Understanding CA (certificate Authorities), CSRs (Certificate Signing Requests) and manage chained certificates.
11. Taking backup of IIS configuration
12. Configuring and analysing log files
13. Installing and configuring Services
14. Creating, configuring and managing the public folders
15. NTFS/FAT Permission settings for folders
16. Good level of understanding of Active Directory and Group policy configuration
17. Good level of understanding of IP address and subnet mask
18. Good level of understanding of DHCP, DNS, WINS
19. Good level of understanding of server and network load balancing
Process Knowledge
1. IT process and security standards like ITIL, BS7799, and ISO 27001.
2. Good knowledge on Incident, Problem, Release and Change management process
3. Knowledge on Ticketing tool
4. Manning P1/P2 Bridge Calls
Skills
Expertise on IIS Administration ( IIS 5.X, 6.X, 7.X, 8.X)
Strong Knowledge on Active Directory and Security
Knowledge of Windows OS (NT, )
Knowledge of different application Servers plugins (WebSphere/JRun/JBoss, etc.)
This is a 3 month rolling contract based in Edinburgh with 1st stage interviews scheduled for this week.
