DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a strong Project Manager with a technical background with an understanding of either infrastructure, technical support, development, business systems analysis, enterprise architecture. A candidate ideally involved with all IT aspects with related career path and proven record of successful medium to large sized IT projects.

SKILLS:

- Must have a PMP or related certification
- Proven project management experience with transformation Mainframe to Open Systems (UNIX) projects within a multi-vendor environment
- Must have 7+ years of professional IT Project Management experience
- Must have extensive practical experience and knowledge with techniques for planning, organizing, and monitoring multiple IT projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership, coaching, and relationship management skills
- Effective influencing skills to impact decisions
- Consultative approach - Someone who is willing to make recommendations to the client, intellectually challenge them etc.
- Excellent communication skills
-Technical background as either a developer, Business Systems Analyst, Enterprise Architect
- Knowledge of IT Operations process, change management, release management
- Experience with multi-vendor/client business unit coordination and management
- Proven ability to manage large scale, high visibility projects

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for all aspects of the project
- Manage project through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, distributors, and vendors
- Assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources as needed, and developing a schedule to ensure timely completion of the project
- Monitor team dynamics and team accountability related to delivery commitments
- Assign project tasks and coordinate resources, including the review of individual issues and concerns and resolve or escalate such issues as needed
- Establish and enforce the use of the project's Change Control process
- Manage budget and financial plan
- Create, review and edit Statements of Work or proposals
- Oversees reporting work streams, quality management, financial management, and the methods, standards, and guidelines for the reporting project
- Work closely with the integration and technical leads to ensure the project solution is meeting its business, functional, and technical requirements
- Liaise between reporting work streams and the business, and is responsible for maintaining the relationship
- Delegate or assign responsibilities to team leads to manage specific project areas, eg risk, quality, communications, deliverable version, or change control
- Provide input to Client's PMO on general communications and change management to Stakeholder
- Adept at issue/action/risk management and documentation.
- Maintain all project related documentation and deliverables including schedules, issue, action and risk logs, test plans, executive presentations and associated documents required for consolidation/migration/relocation projects.
