Description

We are looking for a Data Warehouse Analyst to work at our multinational client in Rome/Italy.

Tasks

  • Working in close collaboration with the technical team leader, the consultant will perform tasks associated with development of Data Warehouse data mart covering Procurement domain, working as a member of a team.
  • Participate in analysis of business requirements;
  • Design logical DW data models to address the stated business requirements;
  • Design and development of data extraction routines from Oracle eBusiness Suite Supply Chain module, and other data sources, using SQL objects and OWB components;
  • Design and development of data transformation and data loading routines using OWB data mappings, including automated process flows and error handling routines
  • Perform initial technical testing and verification before the delivery of artefacts to the responsible technical team leader;
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence Developers in creating required OBI artefacts (dashboards, reports etc.)
  • Ensure that all related tasks are properly logged and documented;
  • Inform the technical team leader of any issues that may arise related to assigned tasks and provide regular feedback on progress;

Outputs:

  • Business requirements fully documented
  • Logical and Physical DW data model created and documented
  • ETL routines designed, developed and tested

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing end-to-end data warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions using at least one of the following tools:
  • Oracle Warehouse Builder or (OWB) and/or Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE);
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database PL/SQL and SQL Scripting language as well as relational and dimensional data modelling.
  • Experience in analysing user requirements, incorporate them in new and existing BI solutions
  • Hands-on Experience with OBI including OBI meta-data modelling techniques;
  • Excellent English (written and spoken) language skills with the ability to express complex technical matters.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Oracle E-business Suite:
  • Understanding of relevant administrative business processes in a public sector or international organization;
  • Experience in documenting problems, assess impact and mitigate resolution of issues in a clear and concise manner;
  • Experience in preparing technical documents in English.
