For one of our clients we are looking for a Spotfire operational and technical IT support specialist.

Project Overview:

The client requires a highly motivated individual who is seeking a growth opportunity working in an exciting, high visibility role. This role will provide the successful candidate with good opportunities to develop their technical and non-technical skills, while working in a dynamic environment, interacting with stakeholders from different levels of the organisation. The position will expose the successful candidate to a broad spectrum of IT technologies, affording the opportunity to rise within the organisation. This role could potentially lead to a Team Lead or IT Management role in the future. This Spotfire operational and technical IT support role will be responsible for supporting the Spotfire infrastructure and services. Working within a team, you will be responsible for managing the Spotfire Service globally, which typically includes operational support, deployments, service management, compliancy, and infrastructure related projects etc.

Tasks:

ITIL activities such as Incident, Problem & Change Management.

Providing ongoing technical maintenance and support for the Spotfire application, infrastructure and its interfaces.

Identifying, diagnosing and rectifying any number of problems affecting the Spotfire system which may emanate from software, hardware or the operating system.

Co-ordinating and executing Spotfire infrastructure projects and initiatives by TLS & suppliers, seeing the projects through to completion.

Specifying, implementing, installing and configuring new instances of Spotfire.

Liaising with project managers, engineers, service providers, end users, the business and other stakeholders.

Understanding the security threats posed to data, applications and their integrity, confidentiality & availability.

Co-ordinating and executing reoccurring Spotfire compliancy related audits, projects and initiatives by TLS & suppliers.

Technical Skills and Experience

Sound experience using Spotfire

A degree in computing or IT.
A sound knowledge of Windows Server & networking technologies.
A sound knowledge of Internet technologies and an understanding of Internet security.
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or
Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD).
Application support experience (1st, 2nd or 3rd line support).
MS SQL, Oracle or DBA database experience.
Microsoft technologies programming or Scripting experience.

Soft Skills and Experience

A logical and systematic approach to problem resolution across a broad spectrum of technologies.
Good interpersonal and influencing skills [rapport building].
Experience in managing IT projects.
ITIL & Service Management experience.
