Description

An Electrical Engineer is required to join a global pharmaceutical company located in Dublin, to provide Electrical design input across all projects from initial project recognition to the installation, commissioning, validation and handover of the project, ensuring installations are installed to site standards and specifications.
 
Role and responsibilities
* Assess existing electrical installations to ensure compliance with site standards and specifications
* Co-ordinate and supervise the execution of Preventative Maintenance (PM) routines including a) organising shutdowns to be carried out by external panel maintenance contractors, b) closing out PMs on Maximo, c) Ensuring corrective work orders are completed
* Review any change controls by engineering projects which involve modifications to existing electrical systems or installation of new electrical systems to assure compliance with applicable codes and BMS Engineering Standard DS-2015.
* Inspect new installations or modifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, SOP’s, and directives.
* Comply with the site electrical safety SOP and contribute to continuous improvement of site safety
* Deliver electrical safety training of qualified personnel, contractors and non-qualified personnel when required.
* Review quarterly area inspections of switch rooms and ensure any actions arising are followed through to completion. 
* Take part or as appropriate lead investigations regarding the electrical safety programme 

Requirements
* An honours degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
* 8-10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrable leadership skills.
