Security Engineer - Microsoft Windows Server PlatformSecurity Engineer - Microsoft Windows Server Platform. We are looking for an experienced person in a project within an international bank in Zurich.
Your tasks:
- Conduct application discovery and fact finding through meetings with both technical & business stakeholders
- Analyse enterprise applications and specific requirements for DRM Onboarding
- Assess complexity and feasibility of DRM Application Onboarding
- Determine technical implementation and Onboarding method
- Creation of solution designs leveraging specific DRM technologies and components employed within the bank, whilst being compliant with standards and operational guidelines
- Perform technical validation of solution design and technical implementation through Engineering build & smoke testing
- Provides technical assistance to Test teams with preparation of Test Plan design
- Preparation of technical work instructions for Production Implementation by DRM Support teams
- Level 3 Support (Escalation point for Level 2 Support Organisation in case of incidents
- Act as a partner for Business Analysts regarding requirements specification
- Preparation of solution design documentation, diagrams and technical artefacts
- Maintain documentation relevant to operations (operation manual, installation guide, etc.)
- Provides technical recommendation & guidance to business and technical stakeholders whilst being compliant with standards and operational guidelines
- Provides technical recommendation & guidance to IT Security Project Managers
- Attend project meetings & calls
- Timely preparation and handover of Security IT solution designs and documentation
- Responsible that the application deployment and configuration management standards are fulfilled in the respective application systems
- Integrate 3rd party software into the bank (off the shelf or on behalf for the bank's development)
- Ensures standardization according to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) definitions and other standards
- Ensure high quality, timely and cost-effective preparation of software deployment to development, test and production environments
- Responsibility to collect and deliver a system engineering effort estimate on request for projects
- Contribute information at hand of PM regarding risks and issues
Your experience/skills:
- MCSE Certified & working knowledge of AD, GPO, MS PKI, Developer
- All round good working knowledge of thin/fat/web applications ,OSI model, Networking & Security
- Development experience for .NET Web Services (C#)
- Basic knowhow for building access technologies
- Experience of working within an IT Security organisation, a deep understanding of security principles, attack vectors and risk mitigation
- Excellent end-to-end troubleshooting skills throughout the application & network layers
- Strong application analysis skills
- Good working knowledge of common web services HTTP/HTTPS, DNS,SMTP
- Authentication & Encryption protocols / services (x.509,2FA,AES,SSL)
- Experience troubleshooting using IE browser developer tools, Fiddler 2, Wireshark
- Experience of web programming / scripting languages (Java, PowerShell, Perl)
- Comfortable running calls with both business & technical stakeholders
- Excellent communicator in both written and spoken English
- Able to conduct in depth discussions about business and technical matters in English
- Capable of creating high quality systems documentation
- Highly motivated, confident and capable of both working independently and within a team
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proven record within a Windows Engineering or IT Security Engineering role
- Understanding of business analysis process & use cases
- Broad technical skill-set covering desktop, application & server platform engineering
- Programming/debugging skills - Java, scripting languages etc.
- Experience integrating applications into operational support tools (e.g. monitoring/alerting tools)
- Experience packaging applications for deployment onto production infrastructure
- Banking experience preferred but not essential
