Murex support analyst - Investment Bank, London - £400 p/d

About the role:

-Opportunity to work on a global team offering support for all areas of the bank that use Murex and bespoke software

-Monitoring and responding to queries in a group inbox in a timely manner and coordinate responses with other team members

-Recognise when serious or urgent issues need escalation

-Offering support to London users at their desks

-Actioning supervisor requests eg user access and profiles, portfolio permissions, user groups, processing templates

-Setting up static configuration in Murex eg inputting bonds, futures, credit and rate curve assignments, FX publications, generators

-Analysing problems raised by the users and providing solutions eg simulation issues, payment differences, rate fixings

Requirements:

Must have:

-Murex GUI knowledge across versions 2.11 and/or 3.1

-Experience of dealing with users in front, middle and Back Office

-Willingness to follow documented processes and not take shortcuts

-Experience of working under occasional pressure

-General front to back banking knowledge

-Enthusiasm to learn and provide support

Good to have:

-Support experience

-Knowledge of products eg bonds, futures, swaps

-Ability to juggle simultaneous work requests

-Murex supervisor experience

Desired: (Not essential) - (training will be provided where required)

-Basic SQL

-Excel macros and add-ins

-Bloomberg

-Reuters

-MxML workflow

-SDM change release software

-Jira bug tracking software

-Experience of other trading/pricing systems particularly Wall St and ION, is an advantage
