I am currently looking for an SME for a Regulatory Risk programme within retail banking
Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required:
- Subject matter expert in regulatory requirements applicable to the financial services sector specifically retail banking mortgages.
- In depth understanding of the UK regulatory environment.
- Detailed, up to date knowledge of internal and external Regulatory Risk developments and practices.
- Good knowledge and experience of managing regulatory risk.
- Detailed understanding of conduct risk and its applicability to retail banking mortgages and its customers.
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Positive behavioural style with the ability to be demanding when appropriate.
- Decision maker, providing timely and insightful advice and recommendations.
- Ability to think strategically and deliver pragmatic solutions.
- Experience of delivering and effecting change.
- Proven ability and experience of building strong networks.
- Experience of operating at a Mid Management level.
- Expert level of understanding and practical application of FCA requirements (primarily MCOB)
Conduct Risk
- Represent the department on projects/change initiatives/programmes providing regulatory advice and guidance in the development of initiatives to incorporate and embed an appropriate conduct risk culture.
- Build and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure the highest standard of conduct is achieved and maintained.
- Support the business to maintain effective systems and controls to deliver appropriate customer outcomes in line with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Support and champion the promotion, training and embedding of the organisation's commitment to fairness, value and social responsibility in all dealings with customers.
