My client a leading financial organisation is seeking a IT Security expert with experience with Linux and Unix to be involved in the implementation of various projects in this area. The ideal candidate will also be expected to have experience with BAU activities such as Baselines and hardening.
Tasks/job description:
*You will be expected to Support Linux Security initiatives (Hardening, Compliance Check, Security Baselines, Reporting)
*Experience Translating Security Policies to low level technical controls
*Strong background with Technical Policy/Standards/Guidelines writing
*Ability to Recommend, implement and document Security processes and settings in the Unix/Linux area
*Support project for Cloud Implementation Project (datacenter automation)
Experience:
*Strong experience in IT security & system administration
Qualifications & mandatory skills:
*Excellent knowledge of Unix/Linux security technologies (Hardening, Monitoring, Logging)
*Good experience of Technical Policy/Standards/Guidelines writing
*Strong experience of translating Security Policies into low level technical controls
*Good knowledge of Virtualised environments and datacenter automation tools & processes
*Knowledge of typical Middleware application is a plus
