Software Development Team Leader is currently required for a leading financial company based in Stoke. The role's specific focus is on the pivotal Members area of the client website which deals with authentication, payments and account management. The primary technology stack is Microsoft, specifically the .NET Framework and SQL Server; however other commercial and open source technologies and tools play a crucial role. The successful candidate will have the experience and talent required to deliver efficient, scalable, enterprise class software solutions.With a strong background in software development they will have transitioned from coding responsibilities to take a more managerial focus. They will assist and support the Development Manager alongside the Technical Lead in the successful delivery of software to agreed timescales by coordinating and driving the activity and efforts of the development team. They will be required to retain a good technical understanding of systems and remain close to the solutions being developed within the team.
As a Team Leader, people, process, delivery and the governance around these are the major focus of the role. Required Skills
2 years team leadership experience - including task and line management experience
5 years previous development experience .Net, Asp.Net, JavaScript, Html, CSS, SQL Server
Full project life-cycle experience Experience in process improvement and governance
Solid understanding of security best practices in software development
Experience within teams focused on developing and continuously improving high-availability, multi-user, n-tier, distributed systems
