Description
Resource 1 is seeking a Sr. Cisco Network Engineer for a 3 month contract located in Oak Brook, IL. Responsibilities will include a mixture of projects/tasks, handling trouble tickets and troubleshooting issues. The selected person will be part of a 3 member team.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Cisco Routers/Switches Engineering experience in mid to large enterprise environment. Experience with Nexus preferred, but not required.
- Experience utilizing F5 Load Balancer
- Internet protocols (eg DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL)
- TCP/IP Networking
- LAN/WAN hardware (eg Routers, Switches, Firewalls, load balancers, wireless access points)
- Nice to have:
- Telecommunication systems (eg VoIP, call routing, SIP, telephony)
- Silver Peak - Optimization & Compression tool
- Avaya - Telephony
- Experience with Apollo
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Experience with a Scripting language like VBscript or Powershell
