Description
We are supporting a Global Renewable Energy client in their search for an Export Cable Installation Manager for their offshore wind farm project. This is an onshore role based in the UK starting approx.: 1st July 2015 up until 31st December 2016, 5 full working days a week.Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Analyse, recommend and optimise offshore installation and logistic concepts
- Negotiate and recommend offshore installation contracts incl Marine Warranty Surveyor
- Secure the day-to-day management of the installation contract
- Ensure contractors delivery and own review of method statement and risk assessments
- Analyse and optimise installation procedures prior to and during inspection
- Implementation of national rules and regulations during the installation preparation work and during installation campaign
- Manage and coordinate offshore installation contracts and activities including interfaces with regards to Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Offshore Installation operations
- Manage the Marine Warranty Surveyor
- Provide progress reports for all managed contracts
- Participate in project team meetings and cross discipline cooperation
- Continuous knowledge sharing with relevant line departments
- Coordinate and attend inspections of vessels provided to the projects
- Carry out RAMS and participate in HAZID/HAZOP for installation design/offshore installation operations
- Inform the Electrical Project Manager of all significant technical issues, in particular risks, and develop contingency plans
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards for project execution
- Ensure that deliveries comply with internal and external HSE requirements
- Ensure that the installation contract is on schedule, on budget and to the highest QA/QC and HSE standards
- Be the focal point of contact for all offshore electrical installation issues
- Liaison, coordination and provision of adequate support to Project Managers
- Comply with the clients guidelines and standards in force
- Ensure that the technical departments best practices are implemented
- Responsible for on-the-job training of a junior installation manager
- MSc or relevant degree
- Project management level: PMP certified or equivalent
- Minimum 8yrs relevant experience within wind and/or offshore construction
- Minimum 8yrs experience from a similar role
