System Engineer (6m contract, Bank)Our client is a Swiss Private Bank with international approach located in Zurich and has been through an amazing growth the last years. This sophisticated company offers a very professional and compliant environment where you will have the chance to use your skills within an experienced team.
We are looking for a contractor/consultant with strong exposure to Banking and/or Financial Services and ideally knowledge in a trading environment (FX).
The ideal candidate must bring a lot of energy and also be able to take on ad hoc tasks that arise from a changing environment.
Tasks:
Set-up and configuration of Systems (Linux Redhat Servers, Windows Clients, Grid Infrastructure)
- Connectivity to Oracle Databases in close collaboration with a Database Support Team
- Maintenance of Murex infrastructure - troubleshooting environment problems and reviewing performance issues.
- Assist programme team in the implementation of new FX and other products
- Configuration and maintenance of external interfaces and Murex 3.1
- Support, modification and maintenance of batch processes to ensure effective and timely output of key business deliverables
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of working experience in a technical IT-role
- Must have worked in Banking recently
- Experience in working on a diversified application landscape on OS- and hardware side
- Very good knowledge of server related hardware (HP)
- Very good technical knowledge in Unix, Linux (RedHat), Solaris
- Experience with FX-platforms (Fenics, Front arena, Murex) is highly preferred
- Profound Foreign Exchange business knowledge is a plus
- Fluent in English and in German
