SQL DBA - Cardiff£
3 Months Initial contract
Duties
- Design logical database models and provide technical guidance during each phase of the development process
- Provide performance tuning and optimization of existing SQL code.
- Provide technical support for the database environment and database objects.
- Work with developers, business analysts, other team members and clients to review the business requirements and translate them into database objects
- Create, maintain and publish data models, data dictionaries and entity relationship diagrams using industry standard tools and technologies.
- Develop and practice standards for database architecture, administration, security, design, backup, and recovery
- Skills required
- Experience developing SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014; This includes SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS (desirable), Servers; Advanced level of knowledge in using these technologies.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in overall SQL Server performance tuning and optimization
- Proven experience in logical and physical database modeling, as well as designing database schema, stored procedures, triggers, and other database related objects.
- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL.
