CAD Technician NeededLooking for a new cad technician role? An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for one of the world's most respected design engineering and construction consultancies who specialise in engineering, project management, operations and construction services, project delivery and specialized power.
The Cad Technician will produce and check technical drawings, produce 3 dimensional building models, specifications and reinforcement schedules for the building structures team, both locally and nationally.
Responsibilities/Main duties:
- Preparing technical drawings and documents as prescribed by the Designer or Lead Designer in accordance with relevant standards and specifications, internal and external.
- Performing and ensuring the correct QA and administrative processes are completed for the recording and issuing of drawings and documents.
- Ensuring drawing documentation procedures are being followed and that drawings are correctly logged and distributed.
To be considered for this role, the minimum entry requirements include:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with CAD packages such as Bentley or Autodesk is essential.
- Experience with GIS ARCGIS will be preferred however applicants with no ARCGIS experience may be considered for the role.
- Use of additional computer based systems such as excel, word and outlook.
- Experience working with structural steel work and concrete. Rate is negotiable dependent upon experience, and the contract will be for a minimum of 12 - 18 months initially, with opportunity for possible extension. Job role will be based in Scotland, Cumnock.
