Description

Role: IT Security Analyst

Duration: 6 months

Rate: Competitive

Location: Dublin City

One of Computer Futures key clients in Dublin is seeking an IT Security Analyst with a minimum of 5 years experience for a 6 month contract. The role involves monitoring and reporting on IT Security services and solutions in line with business objectives and needs, and agreed service levels and quality.

Principle Accountabilities:
  • Ensures current and comprehensive IS Security Policies and Guidelines are in place to safeguard the companies Ireland business and ensure adherence with the company's Global IS Standards. Reviews and publishes procedures to support the IS Security Policy
  • Perform compliance analysis of processes, systems and controls to ensure ongoing operational effectiveness of the IT General Control environment.
  • Ongoing monitoring of security network control devices such as firewalls, Intrusion Prevention systems, Proxy services and Data Leak prevention solutions.
  • Assess emerging threats and system vulnerabilities, triggering appropriate IT response to manage risk within the company risk appetite.
  • Co-ordinates and assist with reviews of security standards, architecture and practices for key IT domains - RACF Mainframe Security, User Access Mgmt and ancillary systems, Distributed Network Audit & Security environment, Internet and mobile services - to ensure systems availability and performance in accordance with SLAs and best practice, adherence with the company's IS Security and Operational standards and currency of all related standards and process controls and documentation
  • Acts as a source of advice and guidance on the implementation of the company's Security Standards and industry best practice for new and existing systems/developments
  • Assist with the management of maintaining all IS related compliance programme's including PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), software licensing, End User Computing


Required Skills and Experience:
  • Good understanding of ICT systems and technologies (e.g. Linux and Windows operating systems, TCP/IP networking)
  • PCI DSS - Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard
  • IDS/IPS Knowledge
  • Log Analysis and Monitoring - Syslog, RACF, IPS, Firewalls, IIS
  • Optimum experiences level 5 yrs. +
