6 month contract
The role: This role will suit an experienced UI software engineer with experience working on the front-end and back-end who is passionate about technology and innovation
You will be responsible for building a new Web workflow tool/framework responsible for maximising performance in the online world. The UI developer will be responsible for developing stunning user interfaces You will also be required to engage with key stakeholders both internally and externally to define the specific solution to be implemented.
This is an excellent opportunity to bring your ideas and solutions to the project.
Day - Day Role
- Design and develop User Interface part of applications, including both front-end and backend.
- Creating high-level design artefact's, and the documentation required in order to describe the functional capability of features to stakeholders.
- Contribute for all aspects of user interfaces, workflows and contribute to the framework architecture design.
- Work with users, product management, software architects and software developers to design world class user interfaces.
- Responsible for coming up with practical and innovative solutions to complex real world technical problems and also being able to communicate solution to internal stakeholders.
Skills, the must haves:
At least 5 years experience with Javascript with experience with Ext.js/ Angular.js
Proven experience working with backbone
Experience working with HTML5
Experience working with Java and Spring ( Spring MVC, Spring Security)
Exposure to Restful Web Services
Nice to have / Desirable:
Passion for big data technologies i.e Hadoop, PIG, Hive
Database knowledge i.e. SQL
Experience working in an Agile or Lean environment
