Payroll Team Member - 1 month contract - Immediate start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience payroll team member to join a well known construction and engineering company on a contract basis. The payroll team member will ensure delivery of applicable HRSS scope of service against defined service measures, provide Payroll Administrative support for all Payroll processes where someone is joining, amending or leaving the business and update the HRIS and staff personnel files in a timely and effective manner.

Key responsibities:

  • Ensure incoming data is reviewed and input into the HRIS systems in a timely manner within the agreed timescales
  • Ensure changes are communicated as appropriate to the customer in a timely manner within the agreed timescales
  • Review and respond to customer queries within the agreed timescales
  • Work within agreed deadlines to provide reports and information to third party providers of the Company Benefit and Pension Schemes
  • Work within agreed deadlines to provide reports and information to Pensions Centre
  • Define and maintain solid communication channels with Recruitment, HRBPs and Employee Services HR Administration team
  • Review own work for accuracy before submitting for checking to the HR Administration, Benefits and Payroll Supervisor
  • Cross check teams work for accuracy before submitting for checking to the HR Administration, Benefits and Payroll Supervisor

Qaulification and Experience:

  • Proficient in use of the majority of MS Office applications
  • GCSE A-C in Maths and English (Language or Literature) or equivalent
  • Working towards, or prepared to work towards, relevant professional qualifications
  • Excellent administration experience - ideally within a Shared Service Centre
  • Excellent knowledge of Payroll Administration processes
  • Excellent knowledge of Statutory Payment and Voluntary Deduction Activities
  • Excellent knowledge of Manual Calculations
  • Flexible approach to work and is a team player with a track record of successfully prioritosing work and managing time effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Records information accurately and at speed
