Description

A Renewable Energy Operator is looking for a Construction Site Manager to focus on the marine construction works for an Offshore Wind Farm project. This role will be based initially at the HQ Offices, and then transition to the marine base in South UK, satellite sites will be required from time to time for various purposes. The Construction Site Manager will start as soon as possible and will continue at least until offshore construction is substantially complete (mid 2017).



The Construction Site Manager will support the Offshore Construction Manager in his responsibilities on the onshore, offshore and satellite construction sites in respect of CDM, safety management/systems, site management, documentation, facilities management and best practice management of operations.



 

   

Work role

  

The Construction Site Manager will support the Offshore Construction Manager and be responsible for;



- Application of the safety rules and infrastructure management for all sites (onshore/offshore/satellite), assist the Safety Manager in creating and refining the safety rules



- Installation and management of onshore site accommodation and facilities



- Cardinal buoy hire/purchase



- Procure temporary pontoon arrangements for CTV



- Attend and minute daily Production Meeting, deputise for the Offshore Construction Manager from time to time



- Attend marine coordination meetings and lookahead meetings regularly and assess/act on potential conflicts, identification of advantages above and beyond routine MC assessments.



- Provide a safe well organised onshore and offshore site environment for all workers, contractors, visitors who use the sites.



- PPE management, purchase, issue, maintenance



- Stores facility management and control systems



- Establish data dissemination system for all sites



- Establish security arrangements for all sites



- Establish and maintain inspection/certification/identification/maintenance systems for PPE and other client owned equipment.



 



Candidate skills & experience



- Solid and deep experience of onshore and marine safety and working in context of the CDM Regulations 2015.



- Extensive experience of the management of large onshore and offshore construction sites.



- Knowledge and experience of construction safety and management systems commonly found on constructions sites.



- Strong written and verbal communication skills.



- Superior man-management skills.



- Education: The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in an appropriate subject. At least he will have some formal and role related qualifications.
