You:
  • Consume media, regularly, and have a feel for where discovery and organization fail.
  • Listen to a lot of music and have a large collection - whatever collection means.
  • Are a visual design expert that thinks beyond visual design towards a more holistic, across the system experience.
  • Are very thorough with your design analysis and can clearly and concisely articulate your decisions.
  • Are good at storytelling and can convert stories into designs.
  • Have a clear and concise process for collaborating with and delivering to developers and stakeholders.
  • Can lead a team of developers and product analysts/stakeholders to arrive at a just-so UX. This does not mean design by consensus, and you should know when to gather feedback and ideas and when to push back on Principles of Design.
  • Have made prototypes for apps and websites to iterate on ideas.
  • Have worked closely with developers to provide the required artifacts for converting design into code.
  • Have created and extended branding guidelines that can be utilized across apps and websites.
  • Really like designing by employing clear, unique typography and colors before adding UI chrome.
  • Know when to use animation and when not to.
  • re the first to identify a miss by 0.5px. It drives you crazy!
