Description
SQL DBA, London, Banking, ContractA SQL Server DBA is required by a well established financial services client of mine based in London. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work within a strong database environment team that supports various project teams' deliveries by performing DBA tasks across a data centre migration projects.
You will be required to understand and provide technical SQL Server performance tuning along with monitoring databases for errors and resolve these where necessary. You will also ensure that the SQL database environments are regularly maintained and always running at optimum performance levels. Previous experience in order management systems is a benefit in this role however can be learnt in the role.
This is a contract position for a 6 month rolling contract with rates to a maximum of £450pd.
Essential Skills:
Strong SQL performance tuning capabilities
MS SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012
Experienced within SQL DBA tasks
Good understanding of data centre migrations
Be willing to work nights and weekends
Banking background would be ideal for this role
