IT Infrastructure Specialist - Windows AD & GPO (015087)
This is a Contract role - based in South Dublin - up to - start date ASAP, Rate Euro per day.
Responsibilities include:
1. Perform the role of subject matter expert on the client's IT core MS Active Directory infrastructure (hosting Windows, Citrix, Exchange, VMware systems) to offshore teams, projects and the client.
2. Design, implement & support complex MS solutions
3. Facilitate infrastructure knowledge sharing to project teams ensuring project compliance with design and operational readiness requirements.
4. Support project teams throughout the project life cycle and perform project roles as assigned.
5. Contribute to evaluation of new initiatives from the client; requirements shaping, impact analysis; cost and resource budget estimation.
6. Approve project infrastructure build, operational readiness and production acceptance.
7. Define knowledge transfer requirements and partner with offshore support teams to ensure deployment planning and timely up-skilling to drive smooth transition to production.
8. Participate in the investigation and resolution of complex incidents or problems.
9. Perform the role of vendor technical representative for client issues.
10. Identify service quality improvement initiatives and drive to successful implementation delivering measured reduction in trouble ticket volumes.
11. Support the Project RFS teams as needed
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Advanced Group Policy Management, Configuration, Testing and Deployment in an enterprise size environment ie 2500+ Servers and 10,000+ user base.
2. Advanced Knowledge of complex AD infrastructure, managing multiple forests, trusts & domains in a large scale environment.
3. Powershell Scripting
4. Batch Scripting
5. Core knowledge and or certification in Windows Server
6. Core knowledge of supporting Windows XP/7/8 through group policy management
7. Internet protocols LDAP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, SSH and TCP/IP Networking.
8. MS Active Directory Group Policy Object management experience
9. Antivirus policy processes and tools.
10. ITIL change, incident and problem management.
11. Knowledge of Windows desktop Image creation and deployment
12. Quest Product Suite (QGPM, Intrust, Reporter, Migrator)
