Description
Overview:- This role will work directly with the Sales Engineering team to help design and support new wireless technology for large retail companies.
- Analyze new hardware and software and work with engineering to determine best practices.
- Work closely with the Sales Engineering organization to understand the technology.
- Create and deploy software packages to mobile devices effectively and efficiently.
- Design processes to reduce redundancy and simplify support.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation on areas of responsibility.
- Attend training to learn and keep up to date on new technology.
- Be available for escalations from the customer.
- Assist with driving root cause for hot issues.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree preferred but not required.
- Some experience working in an enterprise network environment.
- Experience with automated software distribution and deployment tools a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft windows architecture including the registry, login scripts, and Active Directory.
- Documented software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Documented experience with local area network fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, NAT, and the OSI layer.
- Knowledge of current network and computer system security best practices.
- Self-motivated and customer oriented.
- Microsoft Certifications a plus, but not required.
- Experience with mobile devices, mobile operating systems, and Linux are a major plus.
- Software development skills a plus.
- Years of experience required: 1-4 years of experience but flexible.
- Prefer highly cognitive individuals.
