Umbraco/Web Developer/Umbraco Developer/ASP.NET/SQL/C#/Leicester/3 months/£ a day
I have a position for an exciting project in need of an Umbraco web developer capable of taking on broad series of website projects and maintenance tasks.
Specific Responsibilities
Specifying and costing projects
Migrating sites from our old CMS to the Umbraco platform
Taking part in support and maintenance jobs across existing websites
Training and mentoring junior staff in proven Umbraco methodologies
Developing plugins for Umbraco to add functionality to existing sites
Helping write Umbraco best practice documentation
Helping form and write Leicester City Council Umbraco packages
Essential Skills
You have an appropriate degree and a proven experience in website development
1+ years experience with Umbraco 7.x and 2+ years with Umbraco 6.x
4+ years of ASP .NET C# development with MVC
2+ years of experience with MS SQL Server , T-SQL, Tables, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, etc.
2+ years of experience in building, creating and maintaining application databases utilizing MS SQL Server (2008 and above)
2+ years of experience in systems architecture and N-tier application development using Microsoft's web technology stack (IIS7/IIS8, ASP.NET, C#, MVC Entity Framework)
JQuery, JSON, HTML5, CSS3
Experience of the full end to end Umbraco project life cycle
Desirable requirements
Foundation Framework
Bootstrap Framework
SVN or equivalent code repository use
Comfortable working in a small team with multiple workflows
GIS map integration into Umbraco
