Solr Developer/Search Developer

Simply Commerce is currently working alongside a global organisation currently undergoing a large business change and as such is looking for a Solr Developer/SME to join them on a contract basis.
Please note this is an urgent requirement, the client requires someone on-site within 4 weeks.
Key responsibilities:
- To be a technical SME (subject matter expert) related to the search application(s)
- To work with Marketing eCommerce search tuning team to translate business requirements into technical changes on the search application.
- Identify possible technical solutions to address key business challenges.
- Ensure that the search team understands some of the implications of their changes (eg performance impacts, financial cost impacts).
Key skills:
- At least 2 years' experience of Oracle's Endeca, and/or Apache's SOLR search applications, covering installation, configuration, testing and support, at an SME level.
- Experience of search integration with an eCommerce (web) platform
- Experience of working closely with Business teams to design & deliver enterprise level search solutions.
- Experience of a search application implemented globally (multiple languages and web sites)
