Description

Bear Group is a growing and established web development firm in Seattle seeking a Web Developer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work with leading companies and marketing teams to develop complex sites and integration work between systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Custom development of modules and extensions for the Drupal CMS and Magento Commerce.

Integration with various API’s and 3rd party platforms.

Maintaining a detailed personal task plan, working in Jira, and adhering to project schedules.

Managing and growing our code base of custom project work.

Quality assurance and testing across projects.

Balancing workload across multiple projects simultaneously.

Collaborating cross-functionally with a diverse group of clients.

Participate with Technical PM’s and clients on scoping custom implementations.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

BA/BS degree plus a minimum of 3 - 5 years of related work experience. CS degree preferred.

Experience in client-service environments -- web development firms, interactive agencies, graphic design firms.

Strong PHP skills. Education or professional experience with C#, Java or Ruby is beneficial. Most coding projects are currently in PHP.

Experience with the Drupal, Magento or similar open source frameworks strongly preferred.

Front-end development tools including HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap.js, SAAS/LESS, Javascript.

Working knowledge of Git.

Professional and client service-oriented; positive and proactive; able to react swiftly to meet client expectations.
