Description
My client has a requirement for a highly experienced Technical Lead to work on a suite of trading tools and management applications that form the core content displayed on the clients site. Your main responsibility will be solutions design and workload planning as well as QA and code review on a regular basis. You will have experience with documentation and coming up with technical solutions to problems with their sites and coming up with technical solutions for new products and pieces of functionality. This is not a web role but working on the Winforms applications that feed and push information to the website. This is an extremely interesting development environment and you will be working with a team some of the best developers out there for a client that will look good on even the most seasoned contractors CV.You will have 4-5 devs reporting to you and will report directly to the development manager for this area of the business. This is a fast paced and reactive environment so you need the ability to context switch between tasks rapidly and also to work off minimal spec on occasion and manage multiple tasks / projects at once.

Skills: - Experience with or the desire to "step up" to a technical lead / technical management level
- Strong coding background
- Come from a VB.NET and Winforms background (Will not be coding but will need to understand the codebase)
- Strong Solutions background
- Delivery focused
Desirable:
- Experience with highly scalable software solutions
- working on N-tier systems with high amounts of concurrent users and data throughput
Location: West Midlands
Rate: £300 - £350 / Day
Contract Length: 3-6 Months initial with definite extensions
