The Contract : 6 monthsDaily Rate : €450
Location: Dublin 1
Senior SQL DBA urgently needed to join an existing team of 3 DBAs. With significant contracts in the US and a number of upcoming projects, there is an immediate need for a self-motivated and independent personality to join ASAP.
The Job
Your role will involve database monitoring, performance tuning, high availability strategies with MS SQL Server in a production environment. Managing, maintaining, developing and recommending policies and procedures to ensure the performance, availability, security and integrity of the company's databases. You will also be responsible for identifying and resolving database performance issues and managing the migration of SQL databases to the latest SQL 2014 version.
Technical Skills Required
Strong T-SQL background in high volume transaction processing environment
SQL Server 2008 R
Strong performance tuning experience
SSIS
RAID & SAN Configuration and management
This is a great opportunity for a Senior SQL Server Production DBA contractor to join a hugely successful company with a high level of freedom and with a strong chance of contract extension after 6 months.
